Under the CCPA/CPRA and equivalent US state statutes you may direct a business to stop selling or sharing your personal information for targeted advertising. Here is what that means on this site, and how to do it.

Defining the Terms

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we never have. What can happen is narrower: where advertising is served on this site, advertising cookies and device identifiers may be made available to advertising partners. The statutory definitions of ‘sale’ and ‘sharing’ are wide enough to capture that arrangement, so we treat it as opt-out-able rather than argue about the label.

Anyone reading our guides on frugalskills.com can opt out, subscriber or not.

Afterwards

After you opt out, targeted advertising ceases but advertising may not. The site itself is unchanged — no content is locked, no feature is removed, and no reader is disadvantaged for having exercised the right.

How to Exercise This Right

Three ways. Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser — we honour it automatically, and nothing further is required. Or use the consent banner, where presented, to refuse advertising cookies. Or write to [email protected] with the subject ‘Do Not Sell or Share’. You do not need an account with us to do any of this.
